President's day is the day that associates most with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as their birthday are in February. This day is the signature of the rich of United States. The children can enjoy many activities on this day both school and their home.
The favorite story about George Warshington is when he choped the cherry tree and admitted to his father that he is the one who does it. So, the main story is about the cherry tree, let make the Cherry Thumbprint Cookies. This cookie is very simples and easy to do it, just having a dough in a small balls shape and let them put their thumb in it to make a thumb hole. Then drop a cherry in the the dough and bake following the power recipe. You call let the children help you mix their own dough if having a small number of children and put their small balls in the the greased cookied sheet or baking paper.

A Penny puppet is one of the great game for the day. Easily cut blue and black construction paper in a square shape f to make a small costume of the presidents. Then roll the paper to the finger shape, applied the tape to the penny and the black paper, the nickel to the blue. Put them a stovepipe hat for the penny and blue triangle hat to the nickel. Then you will get Penny Lincoln and Nickel Warshington finger puppets.

Hangman is one of the game for children to learn about their President. You can apply the information about how they live, cherry tree, mount Vernon or Delaware river. Then, they may find which word belong to which president.

The Log cabin made from stick or popsicle stick is the part of the activity. Firstly, take a box and cut the top flip to make a roofline using the 45 degree. Then create a hinged door by cutting three sides of the rectangle to form a door. Cut squares holes for the windows and cover with the cleared plastic. Then glue the sticks outside the box to make a cabin look.

Get another larger box to make a roof. Cut it in rectangular shape and make sure that it is large enough to be a roof. Cut a little in the middle to allow it to bend and reinforce it with the tape. Then use the smaller rectangular box for a chimney, by cutting the bottom to match the roof angle and flap. Hot glued the rock onto the chimney and glue the stick onto the roof. Glue the roof again to the cabin and the chimney then you will get the cabin log.

Let the children have a skit about the Presidents, perform a skit to the young children and let they learn the story with the funny detail. Or even let they write their own script base on the true story and having a simple costumes and sets. This would make a beautiful and funny day while they can learn about thier President in their way.

People started to forget the important of the President's day in the past few years. By learning and having these activities, the President's Day will become once again the significant day for them and their family.
